This could be a stupid question but can a 2009 or 2010 GT500 come with a glass roof?

I don't think it was an option due to the cars power. Insurance/safety.

+1 on the integrity of the ride...
Especially during hard cornering.
Although the S197 body is tough, It could still flex enough to shatter the glass.

Saw two GT500's at a dealer in Florida. The sales guy said the glass roof is coming to the GT500 as a late availability option. Can anyone else with connections to Ford confirm this?

If it's available on a FRPP GT with trackpack, why not the GT500?

I don't see any reason why you couldn't put it in a GT500. A chunk of glass is a lit stiffer than a metal roof. (heavier though). It's my understanding that the A pillars are from the convertible though, so you'd likely have to see a GT500 convertible out first.

well, the 2009 #1 GT500KR they sold at Barrett-Jackson had a glassroof and they said it would be the only one.
There is no option for one under GT500 in the 2010 brochure.
I just checked and the glass roof wasn't an option on the 2009 GT500 nor the GT500 KR
