Question Bought an Unknown Mustang

Ok, Long story short, Bought a Mustang, the vin code is 1ZVHT82H---------. Now the thing is, It has the Cobra emblems on the sides and rear "Fake" fuel door. There is no Snake on the front grille. And i think its an after market body kit. running the vin numbers on line, i have found different thinks, One says its a Shelby GT500H, another states its a GT premimun... I just would like to know what it REALY is so I eather take the snakes off, or replace whats missing. Oh, all of the plates( engine, door sills, and steering wheel )says mustang only on them. Any help would be WONDERFUL!

It is a Mustang GT. The fuel cap and fender badges should indicate "GT" to be correct.

No body kit, that is factory. But the shaker hood and wheels are aftermarket.

Nice looking Mustang if you correct the badging.

Is it a 5 or 6 speed? My guess is its a 5 speed GT that the guy put a bunch of cobras on. I say get rid of the snakes and put GT emblems on. Good looking stang otherwise.

Great! Thanks for the resonce. I had a feeling it was some guy that wanted a cobra but couldnt afford it. Now the fuel cap says shelby gt 500 with the cobra. I would need to get a new one for that right? Is there a site that could show me what a "Stock" GT Looks like and should have on it so I dont look like a fool at a car show? Again, Thanks guys, Im feeling better about my purchase.

Sorry man, its just a regular GT modded......wait...dunno why I'm apologizing..you just got a 300hp Mustang GT! Congratz! No body kit, but it does have a shaker...Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for it?...Just wondering, hope you didn't pay shelby prices for a non-shelby...Either way, good looking car

Definitely a GT, hope you didn't get robbed on the price. How much did you pay for it?

Very nice car...if you plan on changing the rear fake gas cap....I used to have the billet one that flips down from silverhorse racing..it is really nice and you can get with a few different options...it would look awesome on your Red stang...maybe in black??here is the link below..

Yup, that's a GT for sure. I had that same problem when I got my GT a year ago, still haven't gotten around to fixing it lol. At least I knew what I was getting though, like others have said I hope you didn't get ripped off on the price.
