Default Just Out of Curiousity

I know the Ford GT500 and the Ford GT have identical engines, except for the fact that, the GT500 is cast iron block and the GT is aluminum, and a few different things internal wise, forged pistons and connecting rods correct?

Anyhow will Ford GT Heads and Cams bolt up to a GT500 5.4L, without issues, and will the GT Intake manifold work as well, or will it run into problems due to the Dual Injectors?

I'm just messing with you...

The Ford GT has indeed an aluminum block.
Both have forged internals and 8.4.1 compression ratio.
Cams on the GT are a different grind.

Intakes are different for the reasons you mentioned and the heads are not identical as well.
I don't know all the small differences but I'm sure Ford made it on purpose so it's not a direct swap.

If you want real answers, call the FRPP tech line at: 1 800 367 3788

Thanks man, I know the FGT Cams work in the 5.4L because some people use them in the 4.6L that's really all the 5.4L is. Its basically a stroke out 4.6L with a higher deck height. From my understanding as well, people have seen a 20-30HP increase with the FGT cams in GT500 5.4L not to bad. I just think it be cool to have FGT internals in a GT500 with a KB mounted on top, that would put up some insane numbers.

Usually, people that open up a GT500 mill will go all out with aftermarket stuff and go turbo as well...
They like that 1000hp mark.

yeah the gt engine is completely different internals. I believe the crate engine itself costs a little over $30k.

That engine is just bulletproof. People take that to 1000hp+ easy.

Yea I know thanks, I am still trying to figure out if I could use GT Heads, without any other issues, Ill probably use the Shims etc as well. valve springs etc.

The GT heads are the same as the gt500 heads. Cams are a direct replacement no need to change the springs. The valve covers will not swap. If you have a Ford GT Block the internals can be used. But the GT block can't be used easly in the GT500 car. Dry sump/starter mounting points.

There's a Ford GT WS I could get. there's a also the dry sump block I could get as well, but I would get the Ford GT Wet-sump block. But I though about just using a Ford GT WS Block and going with a single turbo, with 4v heads either Navi Heads or FR500C heads/Ford GT heads.
