my 2008 Shelby gt500 with 29,XXX miles with 3 years warranties included was selling for $38,xxx internet price. i was trying to trade my 02 v6 auto mustang with 102,xxx miles with minor (mods), KBB dealership trade in value was at $2,500 and if i was to sale it to a person it would be $3,500.anyways dealer was asking to trade it in for $2,000 plus additional $9,000 down payments BS huh? lol anyways after negotiating for 4hrs or so i was able to get the car for $31,xxx, got $5,000 for my v6 trade in value (only down payment) got them to feel up the tank and re-buff the whole car.

p.s between that 4hrs negotiation the dealer offered me a 2011 370z lease, which made me stood up and aimed for the door lol (it was a nissan dealership)
just shop around and make sure you have a few hours to spare to get the best price.

The happy ending to this story is I got the dealer to take $4K off the sticker and they gave me $18K in trade for my '08 GT. Considering I only paid $20K for it two years ago, I was happy,

Huh?

You've got the choice to sell whatever the hell you want for whatever amount you want.

Don't be mad at the dealers, be mad at the turds who actually give in to that crap.

I do understand why you feel that way though, completely understand, just don't feel the same way.

Well if it makes any of you feel better, I paid the equivalent of over 70 000 USD for mine. But that's to be expected I guess, once you consider duty, customs, VAT, shipping, conversion to D spec, and homologation.
