With the markup on the 13's it can make a future Shelby owner to possibly even look at the 12's that are sitting on the lot. 10-20 grand is ludicrous. Greed has taken over bigtime. I can remember when the 07 Shelbys came out there was a HUGE markup on them.

Yes that's what some dealers are asking... Not neccesarily what they are getting.. Nothing wrong with asking for it.. If someone pays it then good for them.. That's the difference between 07-08 and today.. Not as many swarming to pay whatever it takes to get one.. I didn't in early 08 when many still were and I won't in 13... If ya truly want one... Look around .. There are deals out there

He said a grand over invoice, not sticker. invoice price is probably like 50k on a base model.

I know of 4 friends who paid $1,000 over invoice... Not msrp ... But invoice... I offered MY local dealer 1,000 over invoice.. They did not huff but are waiting to see their first allocations sell before agreeing... It can be had... You just have to shop

Gotcha gotcha..

I knew MSRP isn't a good deal, but I got the car without a markup, and I've already had it two weeks, so I won't complain.

I sort of disagree... If YOU Paid msrp for your car... And you are happy with your car .... Then you got an incredible deal.... The way I look at it is that what someone is willing to pay to get the car they truly want and enjoy is priceless and without measure... I got my 08 for 600 below msrp when others were paying 5-10k over msrp with ADM's... But that was only because that was what i wanted to pay at the time ... If I was in the position to pay above msrp for a 2013 and keep my 08 I would in a heartbeat.. Plus since I already own and drive daily a 750++ hp modded 08 gt500 I guess I am not as geeked out per say for getting one at any cost ... But heck if the deal is right.. Then heck yeah... The 2013 IMO is leaps and bounds above my 08 stock vs stock out the door.. Heck even with my mods the 13 has luxuries that mine just doesn't have.. Ford got it right with this one for sure..
