So I contacted Classic Design Concepts about the possibility of an open grill a la the 2013 style. They answered quickly but said it's not something they are interested in doing. Their logic is pretty sound because they said that there's little interest from GT500 owners to modify their rarity, etc....

If there's perhaps enough interest generated here on the MF's from us MF'ers, I'd be willing to contact CDC or a couple of other manufacturers to see if there's a chance for them to make the idea profitable for them.

So if you have an 07-09 GT500 and would like someone to make an open grill, maybe we could convince them together! Feel free to post into this thread and if it looks like the interest is there, I'll reopen the conversation with CDC.

And if you're a vendor reading this...how come you havent made one already?!?!

Albeit they look good on the 13 , u do realize they are specifically designed for the 13 and outside of look would have no benefit for the 07-09 ?

I think it might look kinda terrible on our style, but to each their own. Some people tell me my car looks like crap.... as long as you like it, that's all that matters!

I don't have a GT500 but I think it would look pretty kickass if someone made the open grille or you made one yourself for the '07-'09s. It's a little more modern, and there's nothing more terrifying than staring into the gaping maw of a supercharged V8. You have my vote of confidence!

I've thought about making the attempt and having looked at the OEM's, it can be done for about 150. Not sure I want to risk that kinda coin for something that might turn out looking like dog crap though. I'd rather someone else risk their money
