First time shelby owner!
I finally decided to pull the trigger on the 2011 gt500 svtpp
Came with 544 miles off the lot.
Race red with white stripes and Navigation.
paid 42,125 final price (talked them down from 47899) )
i did pay an extra 2,110 for a 100k mile/7 year bumper to bumper
(already came with free 100k mile powertrain)
I love the car, Can't begin to explain the power, looks, and just overall raw its built with.
It's been a dream to own a GT500 since i first laid eyes on one.
I plan to keep it stock other than maybe an exhaust.
Which exhaust will add power and sound the beefiest?
and i read somewhere on here that a good mod is a change to intake tube,
makes the supercharger louder or something like that?
other than that any other reccomendations that won't void my warranty?
It's still a little hard to take in that I finally own a shelby!

Congrats! You're where I was back in August when I bought mine. Couldn't believe I finally owned one. Sometimes I still can't!
Cold Air Intake & tune make a great 1st mod. They'll get you better throttle response & more hp. Of course, since yours is a 2011 you should already have the SVT CAI. Not sure if aftermarket CAI's really gain much over your factory setup. Being in California, you'll want to be careful with your state's wacky emissions laws. Do your homework 1st. LOTS of good info over on the Team Shelby forums.
As for exhaust, it's really a matter of opinion. I've got the FRPP "Stinger" mufflers, & I love them. Nice, throaty musclecar sound.
Again, welcome & congrats!

Sweet ride! I know I love mine, and can't wait for any excuse just to go for a drive in it!
As was already mentioned, it already has a factory CAI, but that huge resonator/silencer should really be replaced. I got the FRPP Resonator Eliminator tube from the Ford Racing catalog, and yes, it does allow you to hear more of the whine from the Eaton. If you want to pick up an easy 100hp, also get a 2.5 inch blower pulley, and a good 91-93 octane tune from one of the reputable tuners out there.

what a great feeling it must be man, the new shelby look awesome, definitly a good price, over here in canada they are easily 50k, plus with that 7years warranty, your in some serious business. congrats again, still wondering what im gonna pull the trigger on next summer, shelby 2007-2008 or '12/13' GT..hmm, wish we would have similar price tag here in canada, suckah dealer asking 36 to 40k for a GT, 45k for a Special california '13..never seen any shelby under 30k ...anyway
enjoy it!
