Put in my new aluminum driveshaft
And its FLAWLESS!!!! I'm so excited because before when I would really get on the gas there was a really bad shudder. It drove me NUTS!
I did some searching and I found a small driveshaft shop in Michigan called CCI Driveline. Its pretty cool, family owned and I'm all for giving my business to small companies like that. I talked to one of their specialists Jamie about the problem I was having and my application. He explained to me that they offer a 4" aluminum shaft for my Shelby GT 500. He recommended the 4" with a 1350 u-joint for my application. With the larger and stronger u-joint it will increase tolerances and will be able to take on more horse power. He guaranteed that this shaft would solve my problem and he really seemed to know his stuff!
Anyway I installed it the other day and the shudder is gone completely. Needless to say I am very satisfied with C.C.I. and I thought I would pass on my review. Hope this helps!

Like I said I'm very happy with it and the service I got from those guys. They even hooked me up with one of their promotions for 10% off. Definitely worth looking into imo. http://www.ccidriveline.com/2011-alu...riveshaft.html

No, mines not lowered so I didn't have any issues with clearance. I'm not sure how it would work out on a lowered car. You could always call and ask, they probably would have some idea on if it would work or not or if they've sold them for a lowered car before. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help.

Here's a good DIY, it mentions some of the clearance issues with 4" drive shafts.
