Default Do the 2010+ Shelbys have a narrower rear axle than the GTs?

As I mentioned in another thread, we test fit my friend's SVT package wheels on my GT yesterday, and they stick out a noticeable amount further than on his GT 500.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I wouldn't think so.....when you say "noticeable amount further", how far are you talking about?

Far enough that when the same wheels and tires are on his they are tucked in his wheel well, and on mine they're sticking out past the sheet metal.

So, maybe inch or so? Maybe more.

The GT500 does have wider tires in the rear (staggered). Did you possibly put one of the rear tires on the front?

No. We put his driver's side rear on my driver's side rear. (The tires are directional so we made sure to put the correct wheel in the correct spot on the car)
