Holly sh_t! How did it get that way? That is a sign of much deeper problems in the output shaft of the transmission. It looks like just the outer race part of the bearing remains and you should be able to stick something sharp in there and begin to pry it away from the crankshaft. It should fold in on itself since it looks to be pretty thin. Good luck.

Glad you got it fixed. Nothing like the joy of dropping your trans to replace a $20 part.
I'm curious, how did yours fail, as in what were the symptoms. Mine was squeaking for a week or so while the clutch was depressed, and finally seized up and wouldn't let me put the car in gear. Actually had to drop my transmission twice because I though it was the slave.
