Yes, that is Saleen #03-0301, an S281 Supercharged coupe in black. It was shipped on 06/04/03 to North Point Ford with Max Grip rear, 13" brakes, performance cooling, tire upgrade with 10" rear wheels. Its in-service date was 5/29/04.

Saleen sells an LOA or copy of the window sticker, and of course they will take your registry information at that time.

Default Thinking about a Saleen Purchase

I came across what I believe to be an actual 1997 Saleen I just wanted to check in to be sure... This car is highly modified and was in several magazines in the early 2000's

1FALP45X9VF146803 Vin
#97-0140 Tag Number

Any info you could give would be greatly appreciated... Thanks...

Yes, that is Saleen #97-0140, an S281 convertible normally aspirated. It is Rio Red with black interior and black top. It shipped on 4/9/97 to Boone Ford with optional chrome wheels and sportbar.

If you purchase it and want to put your name in the registry, or if you want a reproduction window sticker or letter of authenticity, please call Saleen at 714-400-2121.

It would have to be an S351 due to that was all Saleen was making in 1994. Without the book in front of me, I am willing to guess it is not a real one due to the high bumper number and only 46 or 48 cars built in 94. Guessing an owner thought of putting "302" bumper number as in the engine displacement.

I could be wrong, but I am about 90% sure it is a clone.

Thanks (psi365) I did find out it was a clone. Just as I thought, never know for sure until you check it out. They were not advertising it as a Saleen but if someone isn't in to Mustangs you never know.

1FAFP42X24F187855 can you tell me if this is an extreme or anything else about the car? I'm in kind of a time crunch and greatly appreciate the help.
