I'm a new Saleen Owner. Fortunately for me my 97 coupe came with the Ford As well as the Saleen Window Sticker. My question is, can I get a replacement dash plaque? The finish has been damaged probably by some harsh cleaner. I would also like to replace the hood S281's and the windshield banner as they are faded (silver). I've seen the banner is available but the hood decals seem hard to find. Any input here would be appreciated.

Saleen has the decals in stock. Purchased from anywhere else would be counterfeit.

Saleen can also order you a dash plaque.

Your Ford's VIN is not coming up in the Saleen system.

The firewall plate could be from a wrecked car, as the 3F322340 matches Saleen #03-077 is a normally aspirated Dark Shadow Grey coupe.

Okay so here it is. Im looking at purchasing my first Saleen from a guy in Miami with what appears to be a cherry sweet 1988 black hatch #164 with 32k miles.

Photos look great that he emailed me but when i googled 88-0164 it came up in another forum under a 2008 posting as being for sale with 130k miles.

Ive asked him several times for the VIN info and he has yet to respond. I live in Daytona Beach and he has agreed to drive the car up for me.

Should I be concerned? Sounds like a speedo switch to me

Any help will be appreciated before I drop almost 10k

The Fox Mustangs would only go to 99,999 miles before clicking back to zero. So if it's got 132,000 miles, it would only show 32,000 on the odometer.

If he's advertising it with 32,000 miles and it really has 132,000 miles, that would not be kosher.

Saleen #88-0164 is a black hatchback with grey/titanium interior and has JF183979 as the last digits of the VIN.

Yes, that is Saleen #02-0487, an S281 Supercharged coupe in Satin Silver. It was shipped with the Chrome Wheel option and sold by Champion Ford of Sandy.
