Default Saleen?

Hey guys new to the forum and need your help. I just bought a 2006 saleen and was wondering if it's the real deal? The vin is 1ZVFT82H465165447 # 06-0554 and the plate # is 65165447.

Thanks for the help!

Yes, that is Saleen #06-0554, a silver S281 3-Valve (normally aspirated/non-supercharged) built in Troy, Michigan and shipped to Ernie Haire Ford on 12/07/05. It eventually was sold by Maroone Ford of Fort Lauderdale on 1/27/07.

Congratulations and Welcome!

Hey guys, I know you said not to post only the vin, but that's all I have to go by. The car doesn't have any serial number anywhere else. If it's fake, it's damn near perfect fake. All the saleen badging and what not. I'm going to look at it in the morning.

This car is in an auction lot so i would love any advice as to what to specifically look for that may be wrong with the car. Any tips would be much appreciated.

My apologies for the belated reply... emailing me is best.

Not in the Saleen system. If you have some Saleen production number information or other evidence that it may be legitimate, that would be helpful.

There are good tribute cars out there.

That is Saleen #01-0073, an S281 normally aspirated coupe in Laser Red, shipped with painted door panels, floor mats, chrome wheels and automatic transmission.

For authenticating documentation, please contact Saleen at 714-400-2121.
