Here is the original Saleen Data-

Car#01-0013
Last three VIN-227
P42 Body style= Coupe
Ship Date- 10/24/00
3.55 gears
Floormats
ChromeWheels

The good news is that the Saleen Body Parts and any others from Saleen that were added to the car are worth more than average mustang parts.

Default thank you

Yes it helped my anxiety tremendously. Bought it off Ebay (item #200343440371) on the recomendation of a friend, admittedly not knowing much other than the name. Once I started researching/reading about fakes, just wanted to make sure. Thank you again

Great price! With those miles and general condition, like buying new or pre-owned in the late 1990s.

The 1996-1998 S281s are a great value in the current market. Give a high-five to your friend.

Could be the photos and lighting, but it does look like the black cloth mesh faded behind the side bumper vents. If so, that can be remedied with little effort. The front bumper sag is common as well.

Try to get as much of the original paper work, sales contracts, owner manuals, etc as you can. Since it was a one-owner car.

Anyway... Drop the top and enjoy summer 2009 in style!

Hello everyone. As you can see, this is my first post. I recently bought an '02 that may or may not be a Saleen. Hoping you'll tell me it is. Here's the information on her...

VIN - (Last 8) 2F137723
Car # - 02-0253

Thanks a bunch!

Looks like it checks out, last three of the vin match with the year and bumper#.

It's always a good idea to call Saleen to verify though.

I just wanted to give a shoutout and a big thanks to Jess at Saleen for verifying my Saleen as authentic a while back. It's great to see that they continue to support the cars and post-sale owners such as myself. Definately a good way to get new Saleen fans!
