According to 'the Book' it is a real S351. Ship date of 3-6-95. However, they are no additional remarks in the comment section of options or specification that it is a R-code vehicle. As a caveat, the book has been known to not be entirely accurate some of the time. Best thing to do is contact MJ Acq and see if they have any additional information.

Thanks for the information Saleen326! Would it be too troublesome to ask if you could send or post a scan of the page from the registry with that information? It would be greatly appreciated.

I was pretty confident that it is a S351 but I am glad to know for sure. Now for the more important part in knowing if it's an R-code or not. It's got all of the stuff that says it is... all of which can be added on aftermarket.

After some researching online I was finally able to find the number for the Saleen SpeedLab but I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what they have to say. If anyone has anything else to add, please post.

If you don't mind me asking. What is the background story on the black S351? Do you own the vehicle? Owner/ Vehicle History?

You'll have to contact MJ acquisitions for vehicles 2005 and newer. The Saleen book is only for vehicles from 1984-2004.
