I guess I havent caught onto the whole myspace thing yet.... so why? Going after a certain audience that cruises myspace? Why not invest that time and effort into making the Saleen web site better, and have the entire catalog of parts out there, with previews of upcoming aftermarket parts and inside views into how you guys engineer things, and R&D different stuff, etc. But.. I guess the myspace thing is cool and I just dont realize it yet.
There are 78 million people on myspace... Why not?
Also yesterday myself and another associate shot pictures of every item that is not pictured on the website, those will be forwarded to our web designer and hopefully up very soon.
Please let me know what parts you would like to see on the website and i will see what i can do. Honestly.

I think it’s a great idea. I'm not sure how many of those 76 million users could afford a 40K+ car since the majority are probably teenagers but it’s still a potential huge audience. Saleen seems to be doing some interesting things recently, for example visiting and posting to forums like this, now my space, the Saleen store opening at Irvine Spectrum (can't wait to check it out), SC Upgrade kits, and now I see that you do professional installations of the parts you sell, which is very cool.
Hats off to whoever is driving these changes.

Reputations come from previous experiences... And are very tough to get rid of.
Some of you (extremeSaleen) are able to recognize the positives.
And have also noticed that things are improving for the better. In all aspects, especially the parts and customer service departments.
Unfortunatly there is nothing we can do to sway peoples past experiences, except for focusing on improving the present situations one day at a time.
The Myspace page was created friday evening when i got off work, as well as Saturday and Sunday. I did it on my own time, To benefit many enthusiasts out there of all ages. And to be able to easily post up-coming or interesting information.
Cant speak for customer service problems in the past as there has been a large gap between my first Saleen and my new one (89 and 05) and I think they are making headway in customer service. I agree Saleen taking part in these forums is great and having open communication is very welcome.
I'm in different about it - I'm not a myspace user so could care-less. But what does concern me is it would APPEAR that Saleen is moving up and away from the EXCLUSIVE & RARE aspect that they have always enjoyed. Lets face it, when you own a 1 of XX (or better yet a 1 of X) car out of a total of xxx produced in a year - thats pretty rare. Now we are talking 1 of XXX out of 1500, maybe 2000+ this year, etc......How much higher will it go? Saleen has always enjoyed a bit of an edge in exclusivity agains the Roush and SVT cars - but for how much longer [&:] You used to have to ORDER a Saleen at the dealer if you wanted one, now you can walk in to just about any Saleen dealer and find one or two (6 in the case of my local dealer) sitting FOR SALE - not spoken for. To me, thats the difference between MASS production and limited production.
Don't get me wrong, I know Saleen is in business to make money - I just feel its getting so big that the exclusivity is beginning to wear off. I still love the cars though

you are so correct, watching a brand new New Edge Saleen spend a summer at a local dealership's service bay because Saleen could not get a new speedo to the dealership that was only an hour away from Irvine taught me not to buy ANYTHING Saleen
