03 Saleen S-281SC Problems with Intercooler??
Does anyone know if the Intercooler Reservior on the passenger side of the car, right beside the radiator should have pressure on it, when you take off the cap??? I drove my car the other day then the next day seen it was leaking and found it was the intercooler reservior so I went to take the cap off and it had pressure built up inside it. Next time you drive your car, take it home and let it sit for 24hrs. then go and take that cap off the reservior and see if it has pressure built up please let me know what any of you find out.

160 is the hottest it should ever get. If it stays above 160 for any reasonable period of time, I would have the intercooler system checked. 160 is still pretty hot, regardless. Does it usually like to run around 160? If it does, that is too hot.

Mine does not get over 145-150 even on a hot summer day. Check your pump to see if it is working. If it is not pumping the temp will reach engine temp ie. 180+. Mine quit working one time. The problem was a shorted relay found above the passenger wheel well shroud. To get to it you have to remove the passenger wheel and splash shroud. Autozone carries the relay.
