Default Replacement Decals...

I bought some replacement decals for the sides since on my drivers side the color is coming off or something like that. Well anyway, instead of the silver (white?) I got black. Whats the best way to take off the ones on there now and put on the new ones? I would just stick them over top but then it'd be way too thick...

Definitely, DO NOT stick them over the top! Not only for the reason you stated (too thick) but if the ORIGINAL sticker is peeling up, then the new one will come off with it! [:'(] I agree with Blown, use a heat gun. BE CAREFUL not to get too hot [sm=badbadbad.gif] Be patient and keep heating a little bit at a time and continue to gently pull on old decal. If you heat slowly enough, you will find the perfect temp to remove without hurting paint or tearing small pieces of sticker at a time [sm=icon_rock.gif]

If your decal is coming off on an 05 that should be covered under warranty shouldn't it?

I have no idea? I just got some black ones off some seller on eBay for $20. I'll call my dealer when the headrest pieces come in and ask them to order me a set of silver ones too. That way if I don't like the black I'll just go back to silver. How do you think they black will look on it?

The sticker isn't peeling, but the color is coming off it? I don't know how, but you can tell in the picture where there's a chunk of it missing.

IMO, black will be better. If its under warranty I would ahve the dealer do it. That way if its messed up your not paying, they are. Hopefully it will be done right. Is your dealer decent?

I talked with Saleen and they said I can go to any dealer to do work at, but they would prefer someone that is a Saleen dealer. The one that is seem OK, but I don't like them that much. You may have heard of them, Ricart. He has all these commercials with his damn guitar all the time. I'm probably going to start going to the dealer that we bought the Explorer off of, they're very nice people and always do everything right.

It's been about a month now since my Stang went to Ricart to get the headrests fixed and they sent me a letter about a week ago saying they ordered the parts but no news yet. So I've been waiting about a month for them just to get in the headrest pieces for the warped headrests. Don't know if it's Saleen or Ricart but I'll be making some calls come monday. It shouldn't take that long just for some headrests...

I had the same problem with my inserts. Took well over a month to get in a simple part [:@]

BTW, nice color choice. And it blends in well with your house

I prefer the black decal myself, but hold the silver ones to your car and see which ones you like better. WHen your done peling the old one off be sure to use rubbing alcohol on the area before installing the new set.
