I am curious as to how different X and H pipes (catted and non catted) sound with the stock Saleen axlebacks (magnaflow mufflers i think?). Has anyone upgraded their exhaust, or can link me to any sound clips of those who have? Any input would be appreciated.

On another note, is the ground clearance with the X pipe much different than what you have from the factory?

I put a Pypes o/r H on my car and am very satisfied with the sound. Its not raspy, no real drone - just a nice "muscle" sound IMO. At idel it rumbles sort of like all the 5.0's did, and at WOT it sounds like the car looks A very simple bolt on mod at only ~$175

Did it deepen the rumble at idle on your car?

From the clips, it seems "metallic" sounding at WOT.

Go to streetfire.net. Someone has a S/C Saleen with the cats removed. Sounds raspier. I would the the X-pipe with hi-flow cats. The last time I spoke with someone from Saleen they recommended removing the cats if you could.

do any of these mods require the car to be retuned?
