I like a flat12:1 all the way across.

Is there any difference with a Turbo on these 3V or do you think its the same as a s/c 3V?

Thanks

I agree that if the a/f ratio is good the rwhp is not as much of an issue(to a point). The lower the boost the better too.

Long term I plan to add to my 475 kit, headers, Grantelli coils, low temp thermostat, aluminum driveshaft, perhaps an x-pipe and the custom tune. I would hope for 430-440 safe rwhp with this combo, all at 5.5-6 pounds of boost with the 475 pulley.

I know that people who like speed/horsepower in their cars will always say you can't have too much. But I am not sure I agree. I am currently somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 RWHP and I think traction is now the real issue. I can say that if you punch it you better have open road in front of you because you are gone... [sm=gears.gif]

I personally am satisfied with my power but I can't say the same about the sound. I am always looking for that deep burbling muscle car sound. To me awesome power NEEDS awesome sound. Since I am 2 years away from my next smog test I am considered going without cats and an xpipe.. still undecided!

Pachy you were wayyyyyyyyy over 450rwhp. You were also running high boost and from what you said the tune was not great either. 450rwhp at low boost and a 11.7-12 a/f ratio with only occasional sprited driving andthe bottom endwill last a for a little while. 430-440 will be enough for me thanks.

That about what I am shooting for (430-440). I got the following items waiting to be installed (self) on my ride:

3.4" JDM Saleen pulley - $149
JDM CAI - $200
Extreme intake tube - $98
39# injectors - $150 (on EBay - 03 Cobra takeoffs)
SCT2 Tuner and 2 tunes from JDM - $385 (Stock and 3.4" pulley)
90mm Lightning MAF - $75 (EBay)
MAF conversion adaptor - $39
New Belt - $69 (Holy cow is that expensive!!)

Total $1165

Not bad when the Saleen 475 kit cost $999 and I will (supposably) get more horsepower to the wheels.

Jonsey, what kind of RWHP are you getting with your setup? Looks like mine will be similar.

I got 410 rwhp according to Saleen. I got it up to about 395 at 5500 rpm and then shut it down due to the lousy a/f ratio. It would hit 410 if we went to 6200 but it was not worth the risk. I won't do any full throttle driving until the warranty is up or if they won't warrant the 475 kitI will custom tune it.

Sorry Jonsey, I meant that question for DAYDARK. He has the JDM stuff, but thanks for the information.
