Default How much is to much?

I have a 06 S/C saleen and am about to get a custom tune, and am wondering what is the HP I should shoot for so far I have the 40hp up grade and am about to install the JLT cai,I want it to be safe but I hear they blow up at 450hp at the rear wheels, also is the Dyno jet hp numbers calculated differently then other dyno's? Theshop will be JBA in San Diego they use a Dyno Jet.....thanks in advance Rob

Dont focus on a max hp number. Focus on a safe A\F ratio and spark.

If you are using any of the pullies from Saleen (even the upgraded ones) you are still very far away from 450 RWHP. You've got nothing to worry about. Just make sure you get a good tune!!

PolkThug is correct. On a S/C'd 3v motor, people like to have anywhere from 11.5:1 to 12.1:1 A/F ratio. What state do you live in? You should do some research and find a tuner in your state who has experience with the 3v motors, and specifically blown 3v's. If you can't find any good tuners, call Jim Jr. at JDM Engineering and ask him who he recommends in your area.

JBA has been around for awhile, I'm sure you'll be fine. I run premium fuel in mine and my spark is mostly 15-16, maxing out at 20.
