Keep my 2006 S281SC or buy 2007 Shelby GT500
I can buy a new Shelby GT500 in Vista Blue with white stripes for 5k over list. That puts it at 50k with the gas guzzler tax. They will give me 46k for my SC that I only have 953 miles on sitting in my garage.
What is your take on this also. I do like the Saleen.....but always wanted the Shelby too. Just when they first came out..the 20k over was just nuts.
Thanks gang

It all comes down to what you want out of the car. If you want a dragstrip monster the 5.4L motor with the new kenne bell setup will be hard to beat. If you want looks and performance, but do not plan on doing too many mods the Saleen is a nice choice. Plus if they are giving you 46k for your car how much do you still owe?

The Shelby GT500 engines are proving to be bulletproof. The shop that tuned my car slapped a KB on one and big wide Nitto DR's can't hold it down. A couple suspension mods and weight reductions solve any problems. Its an awesome platform.

But it depends on what you want out of the car.

i'd personally keep the saleen for a little bit and wait for the GT500 price to come down. If you wait until the 08's come out and they make another 10,000 GT's like they're supposed to do next year....then they might be a little more common and a little more affordable. You might even get one for MSRP! *gasp*.
