I'm hearing so many conflicting opinions and I want to narrow them down. I was gonna go with 3.73 but have alot of people saying I won't be happy unless I go with 4.10. Car is a '99 Saleen S/C and mods include Racecraft suspension, sfc's, shorty headers, o/r x-pipe, King Cobra clutch, UPR clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster, still not sure yet but either #24 or #30 injectors, and very near future mods will be a smaller pulley for the S/C (not sure what size yet), an upgraded fuel pump, CAI, SCT Superchip with a dyno tune once all mods are done.
I want to hear your choices and reasons why

What kind of driving do you do? Mostly highway or mostly city?
3.73 is a better all around gear for that transmission on a blower car. 1st gear is almost worthless with 4.10 with your set up.
Here's the thing though. It really matters what gear you are coming from now. If you are coming from a 3.55 you won't notice a huge seat of the pants difference. If you are coming from a 99 Factory S/C car I believe you may have 3.27's. Back in the day Saleen did not offer a 3.55 option because of emmissions. LIke I said, you want the car to be faster and FEEL faster so if that's what you need make sure you go up a couple of gear selections to be happy. If you are coming from the 3.27's then you will fee the difference when going to a 3.73.
If you drive more in the city and like to drive it like it supposed to , then go with the 4:10's. If you are on the highway a fair amount, go with the 3.73. If you don't care about gas mileage and have the money to be refueling alot then 4:10's are the better choice. Ultimately your car will be quicker with the 4:10's but top out lower.
Were not laughing. That's what your car came with. The 3.27 was the option. OK, so if you go with 3.73's you will feel a huge difference and your car will be faster. Again, 4.10's may be overkill for you. If you were not an S/C car then I would recommend 4.10's hands down.
Also, with 4.10's off the line you will have quite a bit a wheel spin and that will kill an ET anyway so you end up short shifting it and lose the benifil with going with such a short gear.
