Amy: This looks to be a interesting alternative to the Saleen school.

Thanks Slammer. It looks amazing. Found one here locally; not a Saleen or Mustang deal and certainly not as beautiful a place as Utah, but good for starters and close by:

Apex

I gave myself an early present and signed up for the one on September 8 (my birthday). Report and photos will be forthcoming...

I went to Apex's website, I had a good chuckle at one particular line in their release you sign:

'I am an adult and accept all of these risks and agree not to join the ranks of litigious persons who believe all injury must be the result of fault by a person with money.'

Yeah, I thought that was good too.

But the instructions not to wear anything flammable on track day gave me pause... So I'm thinking of wrapping myself in aluminum foil that day.

Most large road courses have a school of some sort at leat a few days a year.
I have taken the Viper School and the Porsche School at Road Atlanta.

About 10 years ago I took the Panoz Race School at Road Atlanta. More fun than ahuman should be allowed to have with his/her pants on! Its run by Skip Barber now. Those Panoz GT Race Cars had Carbed 285 bhp 351W @ 2700 lb then but the newer GT-RA has a Fuel Injected 250 bhp 5.0L HO @ 2550 lb now. Doesnt sound like much until you realize they are almost 1000 lb lighter than a Mustang GT.

I'd do something similar but my concern is life insurance being voided... just took out a new policy. Guess I have to research it.
