The major difference.....S351 has a 351 Windsor in it and a S281 has a 281 in it. Without knowing exactly what you're looking at, it's tough to say. Both offer supercharged versions. In general, the S351's are currently more sought after regarding "collectability".

Not aware of any true removable hard top.......only tonneau covers for the convertible when it's down.

Saleen ownership is great......there are a few with problems here and there, as with any car. However, don't make yourself "car-poor" if this isn't the best time to take over a larger Saleen payment than what you can get a GT for. Use your best judgement.

What's the onlybad thing about them.......they attract a WHOLE BUNCH of attention !

Default RE: saleen question...

You can find some great deals on used Saleens in the 94-98 Model years that would be great cars to own as daily drivers for school and work. You can also find some great deals on 99-04 cars as well but you will pay more for them. If you aregoing from a v6 to a v8 and you can't go 05-07 model because of $$ (which WE all understand) Then look for an older model body style that you likeand then you can keep it stock or mod it at will. You will still have a more exclusive car then a GT.
Check e-bay for going rates for cars and body styles as they always have a good selection to choose from.

Good luck..We were all there at one point..
