So I don't get it. How is this different from a 427 besides the fact that it says "428" and is being made in limited numbers?

maybe someone with a 427 could chime in....

Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but i believe the 427R means it has 427hp while the article states the 428R has 435hp.

The 428R has a chromed blower and more motor compartment 'bling'. It also has the open grille (no stock fog lights) and hood pins. Other than that, it has the same 435 hp package the 427R had. It's more or less the second in a line of what will be 3 cars: 427R, 428R and 429R to tip Roush's hat to three great Ford motors from back in the day.
