Please vote in my poll - Should I trade my 2008 GT/CS for a Roush?
Hello. New member here, and I need advice.
I have a Grabber Orange 2008 GT/CS that I paid 29k for. 190 miles on it. After driving it for a short while I realized I want bigger and better.
Met a gentleman who owns a red 2006 Stage 2 Roush (includes the Stage 3Roush supercharger and brakes installed). The Roush rep says this is actually a pre-production Stage 3. His car only has 700 miles and cost $52k with everything. Comes with leather seats, etc. Includes everything but the hood scoop and tool set in the trunk.
He wants my 2008 GT/CS plus $8k for his 2006 Roush.
Photos of my 2008 Grabber Orange GT/CS andhis 2006 red Roushare below.
Should I make the trade?
Here is his red Roush

I say unless you'd really miss the GO paint DO IT already before the guy comes to his senses! Carfax, inspect personally, etc and then sign the papers! Oh, but maybe also think of the warranty, if he bought it new in early 2006 then your warranty will be expiring in a year and a half or so. Its your decision though, best of luck.

I say keep yours and put that 9k into it, it will be much more worth it! trust me, Unless you want an actual roush..... yours looks better too in my opinion...

I think your CS looks better than that roush! I love that grabber orange, not to mention how awesome your racing stripes look! Take that $9K and put it in your engine and smoke the sh*t outta that Roush!

man, i really like roush, and it's a stage 2 w/charger, but i think since it's 2006 and your is BRAND SPAMKIN' new, the extra 9k is a bit steep, maybe between 6k-7k. it's hard cuz both cars are sooooo awesome!!!

of course on the flip side, for 9k, you turn your gt/cs into a roush w/suspension, body, roushcharger, etc. But i'm not sure if i would, i like the look of the gt'cs in GO, but not so much the roush. anyways, either way, you'll have a bad a$$ car

I really like the Grabber Orange color of your car but I also like the Roush, I think you need to look at what you want? If you want the suspension, the Interior and the supercharger now and you don't want to have to pay to create your own style with the GO C/S then go with the Roush. It would cost say $5-6K for install of a charger I assume, plus, say $1000-$1500 for suspension and installation to get it to Roush specs, I don't know much about the C/S interiors but that Roush Interior is $1200 if I remember based of the sticker. So for about $8500 or so you are now at what the Roush has and I may have under estimated on labor and all that. Then you have voided your warranty I assume on your 08. So to me it makes sense to get the Roush and the $9k to me isn't that bad. To be honest and no offense but Isn't the C/S really just a sticker kit? Are there any true mods done to driveline or interioer at all that help to really set that car apart?. Are they numbered?
I did this exact sme thing with an 89 Saleen Mustang. I traded a paid off 88 Mustang GT plus $6K for my First Saleen an 89#709 that had 19 K miles when I got it in 1991 and I would do that all over again in a hearbeat. In fact if I could find a 03-04 Saleen Cobra convertible I would try that with my04 SC Convert.
Good luck with what you decide to do, you still have a great car there.
