One Of Our Saleen Brothers Has Passed

It saddens me to report that a good friend, fellow Saleener, and and all around great person has passed away today. Gary Alsobrooks, the TN State Rep for the SCOA - also known as bigwingsaleen - lost his long battle today with cancer. I'm sure a lot of you remember Garyfrom his knowledgeable posts on thefox cars. His pride and joy was his '85 Saleen -well, after his lovely wife Lynette and wonderful son Ryan of course! I met Gary over 3 years ago when I bought my '05 and joined the club, and they are just such nice people. Please keep Gary's family in your thoughts and prayers.

That is so, so sad Jason. Thanks for letting us know. He was a wonderful man, a true giver. He will be greatly missed!

I see him in his new place now, driving all of the cars he loves best.

I consider myself lucky to have met Gary last summer.Such a pitty to see such a great guy taken so early....I'll keep he and his family in my prayers.

I definately feel fortunate to have met Gary last summer in Jeffersonville. He was definately a great guy, the reason they coined the term "good people". Our family will be praying for his wife and son. I second Jason's sentiments, God's speed Gary...

Sorry to hear that. I never met him, but know he has been around for awhile.

Wow that's sad to hear. I remember reading some of his posts and he did look like a knowledgable and nice guy. My prayers are with him

Gary will be missed!!! He had a great deal of passion for our Saleen mustangs, and I'm glad I had a chance to see him one more time at the Nashville Superspeedway at last years Tenn Regionals. He was a good friend and super human being. I hope that his family gets the comfort they need in a time like this. God Bless you Gary.

I had PM'd him a few timesin the last couple monthsasking how he was as he hadn't posted in a while. I liked Gary, he will be missed by all who knew him [sm=smiley13.gif]
