Stay the night in Knoxville so you have plenty of time to drive it around and make sure everything is ok. AND get some sleep.

You are definitely going to want to take an extra day to drive in the mountains while you're here! If you're not familiar with Eastern TN or Western NC, there are millions of curvylittle back roads to try out. Check out "Tail of the Dragon" (www.tailofthedragon.com). There are 318 curves in 11 miles. Beats FL, huh?Stop in at a Harley dealer and ask them where to ride. Believe me, you'll get addicted to the area. But BE CAREFUL!!

I drove straight home from the dealer (long miles) 3 times. Flew up to Detroit and bought one of the first '99 Lightnings, flew into Atlantic City (Kerbeck's) for 2 different Corvettes. All 3 times I signed and drove straight through back to Florida. 1100 miles from Detroit and 1000 miles from Atlantic City. This 600 miler each way with a break in the middle won't be too bad. I used to drivesemis/big rigs for a living - used to beingin the seat for a long time.

I have confidence that the car won't let me down. As far as adjustments, Lance Cunningham is connected with Gary Yeomans in Daytona Beach. I won't get hassled by the dealer down here for buying it somehwere else. I generally only sleep5-6 hours a day anyway ( a getting old affliction - I guess ).

Thanks for the info, but have done it (Deal's Gap) on my bikes. You're right, Florida can't hold a candle to that area. There are a number of fun curvy roads inthe Ocala Forest area of the state. When I see a curvy road, I immediately think motorcycle - way more fun.

In 5 years when I retire, I hope to move up that way for the late Springs, Summers and ealy Falls. Can't stand cold weather, so Florida in the winter.

I used to ride and i always applied the "Doubler Rule" to upcoming curve warning signs. You know, curve ahead 40mph....on the bike that meant I could get away with 80. Well, I've found that I can pretty much do the same in the Saleen and I image the Roush will be the same way for you
