Default Request input on Price

Looking at an 06 281SC with ~18K miles, HIDs and Tire/wheel upgrade (painted, not chrome).

Looks in great condition. Not sure if it is 435 or 465 hp..

What would be a fair price?

Default RE: Request input on Price

I can give some hint of a price since I was earching really hard for about 2 months on this. I was able to find an 06 SC Saleen with 4800 miles on it. Has the wheel option (chrome), but not the HID ( I think it does not add value in the used market myself anyway). After beating the Wholesale dealer down a ton, and multiple visits, I was able to get him down to 36500 (sticker 56,475). This was my first experience. I ended up not buying it (long story). I then searched, and could not find an 06 at all let alone for that price. I think that was a great price. I searched everywhere, and did not find one.
I then found one on Ebay which many on this site are aware of, which seems to be an absoulte steal (did not arrive yet). It is an 06 SC with 7800 miles, Wheel options, HID, and the 15000 Lizstick red factory paint. I ended up paying 35k for it which is really a great deal. The sticker on this one was 72,665. So being the bargain hunter Iwould look until I fount onefor as close to 35k as I can although I have only seen it one time, and bought it. If you really love the car, I would go up to 37k MAX though. Again, I am sure someone will chime in with more helpful information. I check Ebay every day just for the hell of it. If you look at all of the recently sold Saleens, they seem to not get sold very often, and do not have high offers for some reason (un-sold auctions). Must be the season! Good luck hunting!

The market is VERY favorable right now for buyers - so in your case thats good However its unfortunate for those that must sell I spent 3 hours in an airport yesterday and did a lot of browsing on ebay at all the Saleens and the price were just startling. I saw SEVERAL brand new and untitled '07 Saleens going for 10-20k under sticker....yes I just said that! Right now there area couple '07 E cars on there for $59,999 BIN price with MSRP's of $70k + [] N/A's and SC's are about 10k off sticker, so obviously Saleen has either kicked in some nice incentives for these dealers to move product, or the dealers are tired of sitting on product that had way too much of a profit margin to begin with.

That being said, you can land a brand new untitled'07 for around $50k so like desant suggested, I would think $35-40k to be reasonable for lightly used '06

$40K. What is bothering me is the mileage and the wheels. I think the price is a little high for that many miles and lack of wheels..

well the wheel upgrade that you have is 1419 less compared to the Chrome. 18k is not bad mileage, but I think you can definitely get a better deal. I would be looking to pay no more than 37k MAX. If you are patient, I would probably wait for a better deal unless he came down tothe 35 - 36k range. All depends on how much of a hurry you are in. I still see the Silver one near me (NJ) with 4900 miles on it, and it has the chrome wheel option sitting in the lot, and that can be had for like 36500. It has been there a long time. I think most people simply do not realize what the car is. It looks like an overpriced Mustang if you do not know what you are looking at.
