ORIGINAL: teamgsxr

axeman, the 05 production base s/c car was estimated around 400hp, but was actually the same 435hp kit Saleen still has today.
You make a good point....it was all in the tune, or lack-there-of for 2005

That car had the wing, the center gauges, but NO SUPER CHARGER!! I replayed a couple of times and all I could see was plastic runners witha throttle body!!

I just watched them sell a 2006 Stage 3 Roush for $47,500. Itwas brand new, used for a BFG promotion. They called Roush the new Shelby. I would normally disagree but with Steve gone from Saleen it might become a reality.

That would be this car they unveiled it at the California International Auto Show in October of 2004... I believe to be the same one people were peeking at during the Saleen Show just weeks before...

And it did not actually have a Supercharger ...

and it did not have the SALEEN lettering on the back...

Sorry the pics are not the best, but if you want to see the rest of them: 2005 Saleen Mustang Premiere

They sold an 06 Extreme Lizstick Speedster (7K miles) for $73,000 too. With the buyers premium that is a really, really strong price for that car.

#40 -- One has to take into consideration that the car was signed by John Force, Ashley Force, Robert Hight and the recently-passed Eric Medlin. The auction information does not mention who owned the car. But it was a 1 of 1 configuration with every option... sticker was $94K and change.
