Default saleen extreme no book value for trade in

how does one figure out the value of the saleen extreme? My insurance company said how much do you want to insure it for? I was like 50k thats what I paid....they couldnt come up with a value

as far as trade in, (how does one judge the value of a saleen extreme?)

thanks (look at what others have sold for?)

Thats a very good question! []
What I would do is call saleen and ask for a letter of authnticty (i hope thats how u spell it lol)
And then have them send you a paper with the value of the car on it for insurance and trade in purpose's. I have never done that but seems like it would would work.
Why a letter of authnticty.......Well to show your insurance Its a real Saleen.
and also if you ever want to trade it in you can show them that as well!
Hope I helped!

I would get a copy of your original Mahroni (window sticker) and also have your insurance company referance NADA Guides (NADAGuides.com). They area specialty vehicle blue book that lists Saleens.

what i did with my E was have the insure the Mustang GT value and add 20K coverage

....also I have seen dealers determine trade in by looking at ebay. Unfortunatly theres just not alot on ebay to even
know if thats market value..just too small of a sample

I had mine appraised by a licensed apprasier and gave to my Allstate insurance company. It is a stated value on my insurance policy.

well now you have me wondering, i just bought an 07 brand new off ebay for 54,500 and when i told geico it was a saleen they asked me how much i payed for it , well i didnt want to say the actual amount so i told them the msrp was 76,000 and i got a good deal because it was a leftover , they didnt press me for the actual amount, or ask any other questions, maybe i need to reach out and make sure im being properly insured.

Not sure about the newer ones, but NADA lists the earlier year Extremes (both coupe and vert).

You can insure a vehicle for whatever amount you want(within reason), you just have to pay the premium. I work for an insurance company and the majority of our clients with specialty vehicles are insured through Hagerty.
