actually it isnt, i can get a link of the saleen instructions.
Saleen has been using theirs since 05 when the first E cars came out, nearly two years before the shelbys hit the market.
Ford had the twin pump design and driver modules available to the public. So Saleen bought them and made their own harness. Saleen like the general public could not get the Ford harness. Ford wanted them for all their production shelbys. After they met quota the ford racing GT500 fuel system was released. We actually had the Saleen fuel system on the market almost 1 full year before the Ford Racing hit.
To me the Saleen harness is a cleaner, neater install. It has you run the wiring from the driver module, to the fuel pumps, to the inertia switch, then to the fuse panel box. The Ford racing system does not tie into the inertia switch which is only bad incase of a roll over. Also the wiring harnesses are different and you actually have to run wires up both sides of the vehicle on the Ford racing system and then on the Saleen system its just up the driverside of your vehicle. The only thing that means is that you are removing less interior panels. The harness is also less bulky than the ford racing system so it fits better behind the trim panels.
Both however perform the exact same job, but the do install differently.

Since we're on the subject of JDM, and the 3.4 pulley,,,, I just ordered a kit too, Well sorta........ I'm a little confused. I currently have the saleen 475 kit and purchased a tune and a 3.4 pulley. JDM said all I need to do is swap out the pulley and download the new tune and do the vacuum lines and I'm done.
Don't I need a new belt? should I have gone 3.6 first? I asked JDM these questions and they said that I would be going from a 3.6 to a 3.4 and the belt would still be ok. After reading and searching threads, I realized the 475 saleen kit pulley is a 3.8 not 3.6 like JDM said.

I think it depends what you asked for from JDM. I seen people Say Brenspeed uses or used the same belt for multiple pulleys. If you were moving only one step, I am assuming JDM figured it will work fine, and it proabaly would.
What did you ask for? Are you trying to go to JDM's stage II? Did you just tell them you wanted to make some more power?
Here is the JDM stage II contenets:

I asked for more hp (425rwhp range), So he set me up with 3.4 pulley, vacuum kit, new tune. I can't see what my belt number is on my car now. I hope I can use the same belt for the 3.4 pulley.
Again, I have the 475HP(385rwhp) kit on now that saleen sells.
I dont know who you spoke with 05HOTROD but with a 3.87 pulley its a 1080 belt and with the 3.4 its a 1075 so thats the one you need. The 3.6 pulley will use a 1080 belt however.
