Default Anyone know the difference between series I and II?

Anyone know the difference between a Series I blower and a Series II, like what did they change to gain 15hp? did they port it? change the design? Could the internals of a series II fit a series one shell? is it worth the upgrade to buy a series II and sell the series I? if its just porting then if i ported it, it would be just as good as a series II right?

Where can i buy a series II, just the head unit? Would a series 4 bolt up as well? If so does anywhere sell just the head unit?

No real difference. Both are Eaton M90 superchargers. These were the same ones that came on the super coupe T-birds. he minium upgrade I would do is a Series 4 blower. Better yet, if you want a positive displacement go with a KB.

Ahh ok thanks for the info, Do you happen to know if the series 4 is on the same intake manifold? is there a place that just sells the head unit?

They started using the series II in the middle of 2000 right? How can you tell which one you have if you have a 2000 saleen?

Default series

The series 1 and 2 have different rear inlets, series 2 is usually black but its larger than a series 1, both used the same lower intake manifold.

My 00 came with the Series 1, after 50,000 miles, and some bearing noise, I replaced it with Series II. They are different, the II has humps on top of the SC and the I is flat. Some hookup differences and improvements, but pretty much the same.

You can also check/fill the oil through the access plug on the front of the II, not there on the I

The Series II is on the left.
