So I thought I'd start a thread for this topic. Blacks Automotive has an 03 saleen cobra for sale for $35k.

That got me thinking.....which would you rather have? An 03 saleen extreme or an 03 saleen cobra?

The Saleen Extreme nukes the Cobra stock for stock, but if you put equal dollars in both, including the purchase price, the Extreme is almost maxed but the Cobra is only at half it's potential so things change around.

I would say a Saleen Cobra. Best of both worlds and as Legion said the Cobra can handle a lot more HP. Either car would be awesome to have.

Although, they need to fix their ad. As there was more than 12 Saleen Cobra's built. 11 were built in 2003, but from 96-2004, there were a total of 128 Saleen Cobra's. I dislike when auto dealers fudge on the truth. It's like their trying to hide something and I've heard good and bad things about Black's Automotive. So, if you buy it remember: Caveat Emptor

It would be nice to be in the position of having to decide between the Beryllium 2002 Extreme or the 2003 Saleen Cobra at Black's in FL right now .

Not true at all...

I chose Saleen Cobra just because they are more rare, better looking IMO, have WAY more power potential, and are one of the sickest mustangs ever produced

Well thats not true...If they are both 03' like stated above...There was 6 Cobra Saleen Coupes made and only 4 Saleen Extreme coupes made for that year...

10-S281E Convertibles 14 S281E's total

6-S281 Saleen Cobra Coupes
5-S281 Saleen Cobra Convertibles 11 S281 Saleen Cobra's total

That would be less Cobra's than E-cars if you include totals.

Well not for any technical reasons or production number reasons.
I would go with the EXTREME!
Im just a big saleen man lol
Dont get me wrong I love all stangs
And I really am impressed and always have been by SVT
But all in all I vote SALEEN over ANYTHING!
