Although I probably cant afford it, thought it wouldnt hurt to bid on it and see if I can pick it up at a good price.

I agree with everything the listing said except "These are the cars that are getting crazy money at Barrett Jackson."
Otherwise....that's quite a lot of power and pretty cool. Wonder what the reserve is set at if it's already up to $40k and hasn't hit it yet.

Well the owner sent me an email and although he didnt tell me the reserve price, hes put in over $35,000 into the car. He would like to recover $15,000 of that plus the going price on the car, wich he says they seem to be selling for around $45000.
So, it looks like he wants around $60,000.
doesnt look like ill be getting it.

The way the market is I'd be surprised if he gets anywhere close to 60k... But you never know, maybe someone out there wants it. If I knew I could unload my car for about 35k with the new motor and what not I would probably put down a high bid of 50k but thats probably about it.
GT500's are pretty bulletproof if you are looking for around the same amount of power. You can get them in the low 40's now, do a KB or Whipple swap and have just about the same amount of power

Now back to the thread. I love Saleens and love the PJ. But $60k seems like a lot in this market (even for that kind of hp).
