Low to mid 40s seems to be the going rate for an E coupe with under 10k miles. That was a $70k+ car (MSRP) originally.
A plain vanilla 911 (not an S, 4S, or cabrio) with similar mileage sells in the $40s now as well. That's just how these cars depreciate. And this economy sucks right now. Several of my neighbors who were making very, very nice salaries have been laid off in the past 90 days. Things are just coming to a real standstill.
For Saleens, it doesn't help the used E market that you can buy brand new Shelby GT500 -- complete with a full 3-year factory bumper-to-bumper warranty -- for sticker (mid $40k) or less at just about any Ford dealership right now. I don't think a GT500 and an E are in the same class, but for some buyers who just look at horsepower, sticker price, and warranty, an E and a GT500 are interchangeable goods...
