Need help picking a strut tower bar
#2
Don't bother with a ST bar on an S197. It is EXTREMELY unlikely you will see any positive result. Now a "K" member is another story.
I have talked to a couple that swear it has helped them, but I think this is a psychological upgrade.

The strut bar does nothing but look cool. According to Ford's own enginers. There is a saleen specific strut bar that's made it fits between the supercharger manifold and the rest of the engine.

The S197 platform is VASTLY improved over the SN95/New Edge as to frame stiffness so this is not an issue. If I was running an S197 I would not for a moment hesitate to purchase the Fays2 Watts-Link:
This is a VERY easy mod and far better than the PHB at a good price.
Beyond that, Griggs has a nice little package for the S197 called "Griggs Racing Super Street suspension" that is not as aggressive as mine, but worth looking into. If I am not mistaken, it includes front/rear CO's, adj. PHB, LCA's and I think a torque-arm. I am sure it falls short of a "K" member and would be pretty much the final step to going all out, short of going SLA/Watts-Link.

EDIT: This MAY have an issue with the Saleen exhaust as it was designed for stock. Call Jim Fays and will be more than happy to talk a bout it. He is VERY accessible, as I understand.
EDIT 2: When I get done with trans install and grow the stones to cut the Griggs PHB off of my ride, I will install my own!

I am not impressed with the Steeda design in reference to its axle clamps:
Now look at the Fays2 above and see 4-bolt/gusseted clamps. I have not researched the Saleen one as their is no model made to fit my ride. I do know there is no RC adjustment on it and why not have some adjustability for ride hights?
I am finding more reviews that seem to think the adj. RC is best on the frame mounted, rather than TA mounted bell-crank. The Fays2 is also an easier install than Saleen with RC adjustment and stronger design, IMO, than the Steeda.
