Man, this is scary how low the value of our cars are right now. I wish I was looking for one! I had my Lizstick on Ebay 3 times, and the bidding never got over 29k and change (3rd auction ends today). I am assuming it is more of the fact of people having scared money than our cars being that cheap. Good thing it really does not matter to me if I sell it anytime soon, but it is scary.

Yea Ive seen yours up there. I just recently bought mine almost 6 months ago used and have still noticed the value going down. Let alone people that bought theres new for $50k+ and now cant even get $30k . Hard time to sell, good time to buy. Have you tried selling it locally or other places? Ebay is hard to sell cars for the right price

I am going to list it locally when the weather gets nicer. I was just feeling it out on Ebay. I really thought it would sell or at least get some decent bidding. There is not a chance in hell of finding one like mine for near 30k. That is why I am thinking many people are either not buying or perhaps are looking for a regular color with no mods at all. I would not even sell it for 35, but thought it would at least hit that number.....
Market sucking reflects the over all economy. People who are shopping that higher price range aren't getting Mustangs. However, cars are rarely an investment. I'd never buy one and expect to make money or even break even.

I agree with them being a bad investment, but there are situations where you can get even given you make the right buy. Of course the economy just puts all that out of whack. The last 3 cars I bought off of Ebay were sold within 2 years for a profit. One being a Cobra, and the other a Z06. That is not why I buy them, but I always wait for a great deal before pulling the trigger.

You did get a good deal on that car when you bought it though..
... when they're selling at all. Just take a look at the GT500KRs on eBay - there are a ton of them, and they just aren't selling. I would say that in this market, anyone looking for a recent top-end Mustang is either going to buy a new one from a dealer (at a huge discount), or will look to get an absolute bargain basement price on a used one.
I got one heck of a deal on my '08 S302E (compared to MSRP). But I have no illusions, if I had to sell it today, I would still take a big loss. Plus the custom paint adds a huge chunk to the MSRP, but I doubt it adds all that much to the resale price.
Anyway, I plan to keep mine for 40 years, hopefully the prices will have stabilized by then!
