I have a 2006 Extreme. Yep, thats it! I was soooooooo dissapointed. When I called Saleen about it they just said it must be due to the humidity level since I live in Florida. After seeing these sheets were were full of crap. These cars were over rated.

The 2006 were tuned poorly as I recall. in 07 the tune was changed and they offered the retune as "high torque" 575 upgrade, which put it closer to where it should have been.

I sent the PCM back to Saleen to have it upgraded and they ended up doing it for free. It did make a difference but I didn't have the car dynoed to actually test the difference. Can't wait to see what a stock S302E dyno's at.

i had a discussion reguarding my dyno numbers with jim sr at jdm when i went with the 60lb inj as he claimed my car was running lean with nothing more than the extreme cai and his tune. my cars dyno numbers after the tune were 512 rwhp and 499 fpt, jim sr claimed those were the highest numbers he had seen on a stock E and he hadnt seen those numbers on a new 302E which sort of contradicts some of the numbers we have heard from other sources.
so i to would love to see actual numbers as well. not to long ago i spoke to someone at brenspeed, they didnt quote dyno numbers but drove a new E and claimed previous E cars they drove that were tuned properly seemed slightly stronger but attributed this perhaps to the 4.10 gears the earlier cars had. im guessing we need to see how a new 302E responds to some real tuning to compare.

^+1 good point. Also have to consider the huge price difference. If you look at straight out MSRP the S302E is priced 10K above the S281E. If you think about it I could turn my S281E into a S302E and still have money left over for more mods and make more power.

And you could probably also buy a base GT and convert it into a S302E for even less.

im almost there, got the 305's the watts link the 08 cai and tune actually have a better clutch rst vs spec 2+, yes!. thats what i was told they are using. i just need to upgrade the heat exchanger and im good to go, also i find it a disadvantage with the 302E stroker, more stress with that stroke and thin cylinder walls cant be a good thing, the whole 302 thing is just marketing . not to mention our 281E's are steve saleen produced which i guess could in the eyes of some be adventagious.

I am not surprised at all that the numbers were inflated by Saleen...
