I noticed that a lot of S7Rs did not have almost any Saleen badging on them, so are you saying that after 2000 Saleen racing was funded as a toy for rich people or something?

I'll have to take a looser interpretation of my logo then but I would like to know something about the subject of this.

That's an interesting draft.

If you're set on an "Anniversary"... you could maybe commemorate the first SCCA SS/GT race win. That would still keep you in 1986 and then you don't have to figure any of the stuff from 1987- on.

Place: Mosport, Canada
Date: August 10, 1986

From here on... I'm just typing out loud. I would space the "RACING" evenly under the "SALEEN." Try that, see how it looks. Or... I would replace "RACING" with "Endurance."

One idea could be to pull the Championship Wreath and do a "20 YEARS" in a Saleen font w/ the date of the Mosport event/race.

Color schemes could be the red, black white... or the yellow, black, white... or maybe a white and multi-blue number like the 1986 race cars.

If you had a 2007... the easy choice would be the 1987 Championship year.

Brainstorm.

The S7Rs were not "stickercharged" like the production Stangs were. There were covered in the PAYING sponsor logos.

Not a "toy", a racecar that was raced all over the world by various race teams, in classes that it could be entered in. Some won, some lost. The number of series/classes where the S7R can race is getting smaller and smaller, and every year there seems to be a better racecar built for whatever class it is. This is the same reason why you did not see the SR race very long (if you followed racing at that time), as it was not competitive after a while.

I guess I'm still left wondering why.....why try to invent something that isn't? Saleen already celebrates their lineage with the Anny cars and the Sterling. They honor their racing stature with the Champions Wreath, and they honor the exclusivity with the serial number, firewall and dash plaques. Why add a "homemade" thingy that will just make people go

If you want to make something that sets your car apart from the other Saleens around you....then go for less details. I've always thought that the red S logo, either in red or in dark charcoal would look good in the center dash between the vents.

Sorry, not trying to be a$$, but you did ask for opinions
