Would you guys trade my 06 Lizstick Red JDM stage II, HID, Wheels, Kenwood DNX 8120 with 9900 miles for an 08 GT500 with HID's and 9200 miles on it even up? At first I thought this was easy, but after more though, I am not sure. I am thinking hard about it as I think I have the opportunity.

If for no other reason than the fact that you can sell that GT500 for 35-38000 dollars the day after you make the trade.
The market for Saleens right now is seriously damaged. It's hard to sell even low mile and rare cars like yours for what they're truly worth. All this warranty/bankruptcy/selling parts of the company press is bad for us.
I'd drive over and swap right now before the other person changes their mind.

Wow, I am shocked. I figured many would say go for the 500 since it still has a warranty, and the company has no issues as of yet. On the other hand, I think once I get the 500, I would be just anmother GT500 owner as opposed to ownig the Saleen where I never see any in NJ. Main problem is that I think that 2 years from now, my car will be worth more than that one, not saying the Saleen will go up, just saying that the 500 will depreciate faster. Keep the opinions coming though. I actually was considering the trade also for the fact that I would drive it more. I am very skeptical about where I go with the paint on my car right now.....

I'll trade you a 9000 mile or less GT500 for your car if you decide this week. I'm 100% serious, you can pick any color you want. I find rare cars for people looking to buy them as a side job so because I have access to dealer only auctions this would be a good deal for me and I could get rid of the v6 stang.
I'll even drive to you.
I've actually done a thorough analysis of the GT500 vs a Saleen and in every measurable and conceivable way you cannot beat a Saleen with a GT500 if you compare the same investment in both, this holds true up to the 1000 horsepower range where the gt500 will then pull ahead. If you mod a gt500 you don't really have a usable powetrain warranty just like your Saleen with the JDM package never did but both your Saleen and the GT500 come with a Ford bumper to bumper warranty on stock parts, in your case it overlapped the Saleen warranty.
Not to mention the handeling difference between the highest level fully optioned Saleen (Extreme) and a GT500 is the same percentage of difference in numbers as between a General Motors Humvee and a basic Porsche 911 due to various factors and yes I've confirmed this at least two times.
So there is no comparison, but you gotta do what YOU gotta do.

Tip of the Month, October: Do not buy the $730 Roush Exhaust which a Mangnaflow rep says costs to $117 make (polished, all ss), buy the $170 Roush Exhaust Tips estimated to cost $46 to make and weld them to another company's muffler. This also lets you choose how your car sounds.
