Default s281 modification help?

i need some personal opinions.. im currently in iraq and when i get home i have a 2001 s281SC waiting for me.. my bros been taking care of it while i was deployed and im almost done with my tour. i was considering on doing some mods on it.. heres the list..

i was also thinking maybe a tower brace, SVT Fuel Pump and billit grills.. my bro said he already got a new intake for the car but i was thinking the Fox Lake Racing P51.. and he also got dragon 75mm throttle body.

there were some problems with the car i had to fix up.. the intercooler pump was leaking so i bought the pump repair kit and got that fixed and bought the series 2 gasket kit because air was leaking. the head gasket was good.. thank God.. the previous owner blew the tranny and replaced a new one and he installed it with silicone.. i was wondering if thats alright.. anyways.. yea i would really appreciate some help. im just learning more and more about mustangs.. and im a noobie any advice would be great and if you guys have any other recommendations feel free to list them and ill gladly check them out.. thx.

If you upgrade to the CAI, Mosaleen and/or a pulley, don't forget a shorter drive belt and a dyno tune will be needed.

Does your car already have an intercooler? If so that upgrade may not be needed.

Everything else looks cool.

Nice choice of upgrades. Any ideas for wheels?

I am also in the military and did the same thing your doing. When you order your parts dont order offline, use a phone and call and talk to the companys and tell them your in Iraq, they will give you good deals, at least for me they did. Hope that will help you out some.

Looks like you have a good set up put together. Make sure you do the pump upgrade.

Good stuff! Looks like you're on your way to waking up that 2001. You probably already know, but to the question posed earlier, you already have an intercooler. But, it's garbage....Chicane's upgrade is a quality piece.

As Casey mentioned, don't forget about going up to at least a 255 fuel pump (looks like you mentioned the SVT pump though....so you're good to go with the mods you listed). Likewise, be sure you get the one bolt Chicane pulley. The four-bolt pulley is for the Series IV and V superchargers. If you talk to Joe at Chicane he'll make sure you get the right pulley for your year.

If you take a look at EvilIgloos recent thread about the Tork Tech intake arm....it may be worthwhile. He put a nice write-up together (even though parts of the install sounded like a real PITA).

You'll probably need a SCT (or the like) chip for tuning purposes as well. You don't need a handheld tuner if you plan on getting all your dynotuning done at a shop.

Gears are always a nice addition too if you don't already have them.

+1 on mills' suggestion of gears. 3.73's are great...and a good first mod to give you a quicker feel to your car. Ditto with a throttle body upgrade to get better throttle body response.

I'd be interested to see what power you'd put down with those mods. If you do them, post some results!
