Default vortech or roots?

im buying a 01 saleen and it has a vortech sc installed. just wondering roughly what the hp rating would be and if its any better than the roots? also wondering I should be paying less because its aftermarket.

My personal opinion...Vortech is great, I have one. The low end power is the negative. The roots style has more lower torque. But, if it already has a vortech and was properly installed, I would certainly keep it. Value shouldn't change too much in either direction in my opinion. Again, that is if it was installed properly. Hp will range from 350 - 400 at the wheels depending on a couple factors.

HP will depend on what Vortech unit is on it, what pulley size it's running and how well it's tuned.
