I just bought an 06 Saleen S281 - 3v For now I'm thinking I'll stay NA with it. I've been eyeballing some mods. I want them to look good as well. Just curious about getting the Ford Racing twin 62mm throttle body with a billet spacer. Would that get me anything? I just received a Steeda CAI with carbon elbow. I know I'll need a tune with any of these mods but want to see what you all think. Long tube headers are on the list as well.
Heh...I installed the CAI this afternoon without a tune and it ran like crap. I was really surprised at how much difference it made...so I quickly re-installed the factory intake. I guess I'll stockpile some mods and then get a dyno tune at some point.
Thanks and sorry for the newbie questions...I've only tinkered with classic hot rods until this.

Your best to leave the throttle body until later. Get the thing dyno tuned with the CAI as you will see large gains for the money. Other ideas for mods: 3.73 gears, short throw shifter, headers, C & L Intake, cams.
Thanks for all the tips....The 3v coupes come with 3.73 gears and either it came with or the previous owner added a short throw shifter. The car looks all original and only has 4,200 miles on it so I'm thinking that the previous owner didn't do much.

Do a search on this forum in the 2005 section as well to see what has worked for other guys. Picking up or subscribing to magazines like 5.0, Mustle Mustang, Modified Mustang etc. is always a good idea too. You can see dyno results from parts tests on n/a cars etc. It may help you.
