I actually kind of like the rear end in the photo labeled: "2010 Saleen S281_01". Maybe it's just the angle of the picture.

I saw the new Saleen at the Mustangs at Queen Mary show last month and was very, very disappointed in the exterior design. But the one I saw didn't have that rear end in the "2010 Saleen S281_01" picture. It also didn't have the hood we get a peek at in the next picture (labeled "2010 Saleen S281_02"). Those teaser pics seem to look better than the 2010 SMS Mustang, which I also don't like.

It seems all the car magazines like the slight chassis improvements on the 2010 Mustang. With that in mind, it's disappointing that the current (2010) Saleen and SMS cars aren't very appealing with their exterior design.

I'd love to "upgrade" to a newer Saleen in a couple of years, but as of right now, I'm still leaning towards the Shelby, even with it's terribly heavy engine. For now I'll stick with my '06 and get some 305s in the rear, 3.73 gears, and the full 450rwhp upgrade to complete the package (and hopefully get me to the low 4 second range for 0-60 times)...

The Saleen displayed at the QM Show was the 435s, which is the base model similar to a racecraft; NOT the 281 series.

As far as the Shelby goes, just wait till 2011, its getting an aluminum block!

I think everyone is waiting to see what the 2011 and 2012 shelby will look like. So many rumors going around. Suppose to go to the aluminum block and increase displacement.

With the 2010 281S and the new 435, the tradition continues with Saleen. You can expect the same quality cars that have been produced before - The 435S has all of the parts you want to go fast at an entry level price - I have driven this one and it does all you expect from it - The 281S line will continue being the head turner it always was and the reason most of you own one.

Yes, you can buy a new Shelby and be part of their thousands of vehicles or you can own a limited production vehicle - the Saleen, Not a hard decision to make for most of us

I would have hoped for a huge improvement in this area.

If this is true, I hope their warranty service is better.

I actually think it's a pretty good looking car. I've always liked the look of the S281s.

At least they are bumping the horsepower with the price.
