Not sure on the exhuast tips, I really like the center exhaust, but other than that it looks great!! Saw a couple side view pics from Sema on autoblog and it looks down right nasty!!

How do we find out where to buy/look at these cars?

I assume the old dealer body would drop Saleen like a bad habit due to terrible support. Is there already a new distribution network in place?

We just came back for the SEMA show in Las Vegas where the 2010 was unveiled - maybe I missed the thread, but here's a link to some photos, specs and a press release. Click on the link on the bottom of that page

It was also announced, the legendary Doc Watson had joined the Board of Directors of Saleen Performance Vehicles. That has got to be a great thing for both companies.

Jess, I love the hood on the new car-makes up for the not much goin on frt fascia. I also like the rear end treatment.

When are these cars being launched for production and what are the powertrain details? I assume chassis is carryover from the 2009 car?

Red face S281

This car looks like a low slung bullet! It has a fresh look we haven't seen from another manufacturer. I would like to see Saleen use some Carbon Fiber Splitters/Wing and give it some contrast. I think the color absolutely POPS but I would like to see some contrast with C/F. This is one bad ride and I cant wait for the new charger to be unveiled, gonna be sick with the R/A Hood Scoop. Once again the (nice people) from SOEC (and paid for by SS) had to come over and try to spoil the party. Their only accomplishment, to educate everyone to really what is going on, SPV is a quality performance company with real employees who care about the ENTHUSIASTS who patronize their company. THEY (SPV) ARE REAL CAR ENTHUSIASTS!!
Thanks Mike Shields, Jess and the rest of the SPV organization for reviving a surely dying breed. Hey Saleen Mike giving D the red face was worth its weight in gold! You can't even speak about SPV on their website without being banned believe me I know firsthand! Aint that right Dave?????

It's a one-off show car with press and advertising materials that suggest it's production ready. It's not. Nor is there a guarantee you will see a 2010/2011 S car come to market. Showing a car first, and to drum interest is a great tactic. The clock started during SEMA... now when can it go to market and will anyone really care when it/if the S car does.

Real car enthusiasts that canceled the warranties to existing owners and told the remaining Saleen Performance/Saleen, Inc dealer network they were plum out-of-luck.

The dealer network is/was Saleen Performance & Saleen, Inc. SPV assumes a network in press, but they don't have one.

At best, SPV is a marketing outfit with vehicles produced by Alternative Automotive. At worst its a faceless corporate outfit that will see how many places the Saleen name can be licensed, while trying to surround themselves with enough people and personality to appear legit.

Red face is watching a SEMA press conference where the said "car enthusiasts" could not speak about their product without reading from a sheet of paper (MS) or completely looking out of place with jerky movements and twitchy eyes (JA). Looks like insecurity and a lack of confidence to me. Or maybe deceit.

Jess, I guess this question was targeted at you. Can you give us some sort of idea when we can expect to see your new car? I assume you won't really do a 2010 model being that you would be late to the party so would you launch with the Ford 2011 launch date? What are the specifics on the powertrain. Have you already acheived EPA certification? I assume you started this thread to generate some interest. I have interest as does the rest of the group-can you offer any more than a couple pictures?

Does anyone know the reason for Steve Saleen leaving his own company? I'm just curious because I've never known. There are lots of rumors but I'd like to know the real reason.

I do know that the new Saleen S281 looks amazing and I hope some new pics are posted very soon!
