Default alignment probs/caster non adj????

Went for a wheel alignment today for my 2002 S281 to make sure everything was in spec. The only thing wrong was the right front caster was out of specs at 4.1 degrees, and the cross caster was out of spec at -1.1 degrees. Since you cant adjust caster, how in the world is it supposed to get back into alignment? Does saleen ship cars this way, does anybody else have the same prob?

It depends on whose spec you are refering to, yes Saleen has preset the CC on the Racecraft suspension and it is different than factory spec.

here are the specs that are set on the car right now:

Left front:
camber: -0.6
caster: 3.0
toe: 0.12

Right front:
camber: -0.9
caster: 4.1
toe: 0.13

cross camber: 0.3
cross caster : -1.1
total toe: 0.25

are these out of spec from saleen specs that i need to do something about it? So when you go get a alignment, i'm sure they are setting them to a stock mustang GT specs, do yall take in saleen's specs and have them adj to that?

I have the Saleen alignment specs at home. Ill try to remember to grab them and repost later. Alternatively if you do a search function on this forum they are probably already posted.

According to the Saleen email I received, here are the specs (for 1999-2004 cars):

Camber: -1 degree per side
Caster: is non adjustable unless car is equipped with camber caster plate
Toe: -1/8th degree toe at each side
Total Toe: -1/16th

Hopefully this helps, but I'm not sure if it is all the information you need, just what Saleen sent me. I have no clue how to adjust the caster and apparently, Saleen doesn't say what spec it should be at if you have CC plates. Hopefully Jared has a better answer about the caster spec.

You should get some MM CC plates.

You also want as much Caster as possible.

+1 for the mm c/c plates.

got them on my car. The car loves having alot of caster. My car handles alot better plus my tires wear alot better. Less feathering on the edges. I have a printed sheet of when I went last. I can find the specs and let you know whats good for me.
