The guy hasn't told me how much they want for it. $10k is just my personal limit as to how much I really want to spend. Basically my problem is whether or not it is worth it to buy this package deal or to just buy a turn key car.

I've been on ebay, craiglist, collecter car trader, traderoline, and even checked the for sale area here (including the thread in this section about the possible sale of a 89 coupe in this section). I used to know of one in my area, but have no idea if it is still around.

Hi!

The 1990 and 1991 Saleen SC did not include a supercharger. Saleen offered the SC as a supercharged vehicle in 1992 and 1993. Also, in 1992-93 the standard Saleen Mustang package could be had with a supercharger option.

The 1990-91 SC featured: DP-5 wheels, mono-chrome side trim and rear view mirrors (excluding vehicles in black). The side chevron stripes, Saleen extension exhaust tips, DynoMax mufflers, 3.55:1 gears, Saleen upper intake manifold, Pro-M mass air kit, modified cylinder heads, Ford Motorsport exhaust headers, Champion battery, Champion plug wires and spark plugs. The interior featured a 200MPH speedo, "some" SCs have a two-tone cloth FlotFit interior with color accent pipe (or not) divide that is SC specific. "Others" have the standard single color Saleen/FloFit seat.

The package sale will be more than 10K.

Thanks again for all the helpful responses. If the package deal is indeed as jdivad says more the my $10k mark then I'll definately be passing on this. I was hoping that it would be less considering there was another 1990 SC that was just on ebay a few weeks ago with hail damage that didn't sell that was bid up to around the $10k mark.

For anyone else who may be interested the place that currently has the package deal I was looking at is in Schaumburg, IL and is called Windy City Motorsports. They do not have it listed, but I was talking to a Dan Rado. I do not work for them, nor do I know much about them I'm just passing along the info incase someone else would like to buy it.

Thanks again

put it this way. the windy city motorsports sells a lot of saleen mustangs. foxbodys too. If they don't want to restore it themselves then well you get the picture. I'd leave something like that to one of these saleen nuts who don't care how long it takes and how much some of those super rare parts cost. If you really want to get a fox saleen u can drive there are lots around for under 10k that are complete but only need love.

Now where on earth would we find "Saleen nuts" like that I'll give odds on where this car lands next ;-)

Also since I made reference to it, this is the one I saw on ebay.

Is this car in question black or red? #17 and 18 are black (and a rare color). #17 was a rebodied mess (like this one sounds to be) and will be treated to a resto pretty soon. #18 has recieved a ground up restoration already. Would be neat to see #16 right there with them. If those two guys land that and then could find #19....they would own 1990 SC's #16-21

My bad, the ebay car is an 89 SSC. 90-016 SC and the ebay car are both white.
