Man these things depreciate fast, even when not driven! A good reason to just go ahead and drive them, I guess...

I removed the link to the for sale page, but left the pictures....

As far as the car, I think the paint is cool, but I would never buy it. It is too "pinkish" for me

It always looks better in person. I did like this color on the 03/04 cobra's but it was mystichrome and looked a little different.

It is a neat color and it is a tad pinkish for some. There's a Rainbow car local to me and the gentleman and his wife often attend shows -- it does stand out and he does enjoy raking in the trophies!

I'd probably only drive a car that color if I, too, had a lovely wife in the passenger seat. )

The owner of the local car did have Sean Saleen's people at SMS/Techco (back when Techco was around) install a clear bra, and it doesn't really detract from the finish if you're back about 5-10 feet, but gives him some peace of mind. You do need to remove the bumper numbers and place new ones over the bra, if you do a clear bra.

I'm not so sure the modern rainbows are a problem to touch up, but any custom paint would be just as problematic because of the quality of it.

Why is that? I would have thought the clear bra would be good protection for the decals... I got a clear bra installed by the dealership on mine, and there didn't appear to be any problem with the numbers. Mind you, they only cover certain parts with the clear bra, so it is possible it didn't actually cover the bumper numbers...

I do have a tiny chip in the (speedlab yellow) paint on my door :-< Its probably only 1/10" or so, but one day I'm going to have to do something about it (it looks *huge* to me! ).
